In this 90 minute presentation, you’ll learn about HomeKit, Apple’s home automation platform, discuss various home automation concepts, specific smart home and home security devices, and ways to automate your home, and various smart speakers like the HomePod, Amazon Echo, and more, all presented from the perspective of a full time Voiceover user. Matt Vollbrecht, Certified Apple Teacher, will share how to make your home work for you.

This psychoeducational presentation, led by Jessie Rayl, Ed.D., will help participants increase their physical, mental and spiritual awareness by mindfulness training. Participants will learn the art of meditation, connecting with their present, and replacing unhelpful thoughts with helpful thoughts. Evidenced research demonstrates that meditation and mindfulness improves ability to focus, decreases depression, anxiety and may prevent or improve stress responses. It is a win-win for everyone.

This week, Tyson joins us a little earlier than normal and covers a smorgasbord of functions requested by listeners, including internet radio, podcasts, talking book navigation and several others.
